It all starts when one night in there home they are all sitting at the dinner table when a there mother get's a very bad phone call saying there father is dead that is 1 day before there 11th birthday and so all of them are crying until they go to sleep and when they wake up the next morning it is there 11th birthday witch they forget about because of the tragic acsedint that happend the night before so they go to school as normal and they are working but when they get home their grandma is there and has a huge dinner planed and ready and has presents for Alex and Conner sinse they were little their fairy tale books were all ways the big thing in the family and everytime the kids went to the grandmothers house they would stay up until dusk reading fairy tales like the walking fish little red riding hood and all kinds of stuff one of the most special present their grandma gave to them was the big land of stories book and you could trasvel through it to the land of stories.

I would recommend this book for its great descriptions of nature and the wilderness. There is also a mystery to be solved, and will it be?

This amazing book begins in England, where a young boy named Will lives an ordinary life with his dearest Mother and Father. Will's Father goes off to war in Iraq and never returns home. Will and his Mother decide to go off on a short holiday to Indonesia. All does not turn out quite as expected and it is here that the Boxing day Tsunami catches up with them.

Just when Will feels that all might be lost he meets an unlikely friend who helps him through the dangerous jungle. Will he survive and who is this loyal friend?!

"Running Wild" shows us that life is full of ups and downs. It's great reading for those who enjoy a colourful adventure!

This book is about a girl named Eleanor, I like this book because it tells me what she did and in the book her grandma called her and said "Eleanor do you want to go to camp". Then she said yes. When she left her mum and dad she started to get worried. On the way she met a new friend Joplin .




                                           

The Odyssey

Recently, I read a classic story called The Odyssey retold by Louie Stowell. This story is about a King called  Odysseus who comes home from a seven year war against Troy. When Odysseus tries to return home with an army of men theres a storm and they find themselves lost and fighting against the wrath of cyclops, witches, Gods, flying sirens and sea monsters. While fighting the evil Gods and monsters, his kingdom is being taken over by greedy scroungers.  However, he faces tragedy and his worried and scared that he will loose his kingdom forever. Odysseus needs to survive and plans how he will reclaim his kingdom.

I enjoyed the story very much because it was full of adventures and had a lot of interesting characters. The part I liked the best was when Odysseus fought the witch. There was a lot of good description. If you like fantasy and adventure stories, you would love this one.
